Job Summary
The College of Veterinary Medicine is in search of a TES Barn Crew member to provide routine animal care such as daily cleaning/sanitation of stalls and barns, rotational grazing, monitoring health and safety of animals, and transportation of animals to proper location. This position also requires the ability to operate a forklift and golf cart.
Schedule:
Wed – Sun, 5:00am – 2:00pm
- Routine animal care: daily feeding, watering, cleaning and sanitation of stalls and barns, rotational grazing, monitoring health and safety of animals, and transportation to proper location.
- Handling pesticides, herbicides, and hazardous chemicals, alone or on a team.
- Operating forklift and golf cart.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to drive forklift and golf cart.
- Ability to read information in print and/or electronically.
- Require standing, walking, reaching, handling objects, lifting up to 80 pounds.
- Regularly involve bending and other exertion.
- Exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, chemicals, etc.
- One year of farm animal experience.
