The Clinical Veterinary Fellow will support the preventative healthcare and overall well‑being of Auburn University’s canine colony, assist with ongoing research projects, and ensure compliance with all laboratory animal health protocols. This role contributes to the College’s mission of excellence in teaching, research, and service.

• Health maintenance and clinical veterinary oversight duties for project animals.
• Maintenance of health records and clinical assessments in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Veterinary care and oversight of technical and laboratory procedures.
• Supervision of project personnel or students regarding care and use of animals.
• After‑hours and emergency care of project animals as required.
• Veterinary expertise, oversight, and assistance in associated project activities.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent at the time appointment begins.

Active USDA Category I veterinary accreditation, active veterinary license in Alabama, DEA license, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

DVM with experience in laboratory animal health, preventative veterinary health, working‑dog medicine, sports medicine, theriogenology, and/or veterinary ethology.
