The In-Field Sales Development Representative (SDR) is the first in-person point of contact for restaurant partners s role focuses on visiting restaurants within an assigned territory, building relationships with owners and decision-makers, educating them on the value of Client, and booking qualified meetings for the Outside Account Executive team. The position is ideal for candidates who enjoy face-to-face selling, working independently in the field, and achieving measurable sales targets.
Key Responsibilities- Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects weekly within the assigned territory
- Identify restaurant owners or key decision-makers and build rapport quickly
- Present and explain the Door Dash value proposition clearly and confidently
- Book qualified meetings for Outside Account Executives
- Log all visits, conversations, and outcomes accurately in Salesforce and other sales tools
- Collaborate with Outside Account Executives on target accounts and follow-up strategies
- Plan and manage daily routes to maximize productivity and meeting bookings
- Follow up with merchants via phone, email, and text to confirm meetings
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly performance targets
- Provide feedback from merchants to improve Door Dash sales strategies and offerings
- Strong face-to-face communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Resilience and persistence in high-rejection environments
- Goal-oriented mindset with motivation to exceed targets
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Basic CRM knowledge (Salesforce or similar preferred)
