The Senior Administrative Legal Clerk classification is assigned to the Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney's Office, and the Probation Department. There are currently several vacancies within the Sheriff's Office. For more information, see below.
Sheriff's Office – Records UnitThe Records Division of the Sheriff's Office is seeking to fill one Senior Administrative Legal Clerk vacancy. This position will perform a variety of more specialized administrative clerical work and is responsible for supervising and supporting Administrative Legal Clerks working in the Records Division.
This division requires working 8‑hour shifts, Monday through Friday, excluding night shifts, weekends and holidays. Positions are located in the Records Division at the Auburn Justice Center.
Sheriff's Office – Corrections Division (Jail)The Corrections Division of the Sheriff's Office is seeking Senior Administrative Legal Clerks. These positions perform a variety of more specialized and responsible administrative and clerical work. They are responsible for supervising and supporting Administrative Legal Clerks working in warrants, booking, and front office with their assigned duties.
Positions in this division receive an additional 5% Jail Shift Supervisor Pay. This division requires working 12‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Positions are located in the jail at either the Auburn or South Placer facility. All jail shifts are rotational based upon seniority.
Compensation and Benefits- Additionally to the base hourly rate, individuals assigned to the jail will receive Jail Incentive Pay of 5%.
- Yearly uniform allowance of $750.00.
- Night shift differential of 7.5%.
- Shift supervisor additional 5% of base salary.
The eligible list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies as they arise in the Sheriff's Office, District Attorney's Office, and/or the Probation Department.
