Teacher Assistant/Office Assistant - Special Education Placer County Office Of Education
We are seeking a qualified Teacher Assistant/Office Assistant for Pathways Charter School. The successful candidate will assist general and special education students and provide clerical and general office assistance under the supervision of the designated manager.
Pay RangeSalary will be based on skills and experience within the range $21.22/hr – $25.80/hr.
Responsibilities• Assist teachers and students in both general and special education settings.
• Provide clerical support and manage general office tasks.
• Support classroom activities and student learning.
- Must currently have or obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of employment.
- Must possess a typing certificate of 40 net words per minute issued within the last two years. Prior general office assistance preferred.
- Experience working with elementary‑age students.
- Must meet one of the following educational criteria:
- Completion of 60 semester units (2 years of study) at an institution of higher education.
- Possession of an Associate’s Degree or higher.
- Passing a local assessment in Reading/Writing and Mathematics (conducted on the day of the interview).
- Math knowledge equivalent to a high school student (basic fractions, percentages, word problems, etc.).
- Reading/Writing knowledge equivalent to a high school student (comprehension, proper language, etc.).
- Letter of Introduction (Cover Letter)
- Proof of High School Graduation
- Resume
- Typing Certificate
Applicants may be tested. If hired, proof of a valid California Driver’s License is required.
