Occupational Therapist

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients according to physicians' orders, using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize functional potential in all areas of a patient's life. The role involves working as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide support and information within the area of Occupational Therapy.

• Provide therapy services in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities, long‑term care facilities, or home health care settings.
• Apply principles, methods, materials, and equipment specific to occupational therapy to facilitate patient recovery.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate competency in assessing functional performance and adapting interventions to meet patients’ goals.

• Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state license/certification and registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in rehabilitation (preferred).
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to provide therapy services across multiple settings.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
