OverviewThe pharmacy department at Parkview Health is looking for highly motivated and reliable candidates to join the pharmacy team. Opportunities to train and staff in multiple pharmacy technician functions are available. A Career Path with incentives for national certification and cross‑training in advanced technician roles can earn an additional $5,200 annually on top of shift differentials, frequent salary increases, and routine range adjustments.
PRN schedule provides flexibility and additional hours would be available at Parkview sister hospitals if desired.
- Assists the Pharmacist in drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, and dispensing.
- Provides world‑class pharmacy services to patients and healthcare providers.
- High school graduate or equivalent GED required.
- Successful completion or enrollment in an Indiana Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training program within one year of employment.
- High school Algebra course required; clerical and science courses preferred.
- Computer classes and experience desired.
- Must have or be eligible for a State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided.
- One year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician oriented formal class work preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
