The Basic EMT has the responsibility and accountability for assuring the delivery of quality pre‑hospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and following the standards of care as established by Indiana Department of Homeland Security – EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

High school diploma or GED required.

• Valid state EMT‑Basic certification
• CPR certification required
• Valid driver’s license

• One year experience preferred
• Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a driver exclusion or other high‑risk classification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must meet physical requirements: able to lift 100 lbs and assist with 300 lbs
