Essential Job Functions
- Uphold the Carlex Quality Policy.
- Maintain plant compliance to IATF-16949:2016 and ISO
9001:2015 standards as well as customer defined quality systems and requirements. - Lead the development of production documentation including Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEA and Standardized Work to PPAP requirements.
- Monitor customer supplied warranty data and supplier PPAP files and respond accordingly.
- Oversee the evaluation of process audits and finished product inspections for quality and reliability.
- In conjunction with Corporate Quality and the Quality Manager, develop internal quality control standards for the plant.
- Ensure quality systems and procedures are maintained and effectively used by all associates.
- Communicate significant quality issues throughout all levels of the Company.
- Develop and maintain a partnership-style relationship with customers and suppliers.
- Work closely with other plant team members to address the day to day problems and improve product and process quality.
- Occasionally travel to the assembly plants to review products and interact with customer personnel.
- Be knowledgeable of all government-required testing, reporting and recordkeeping as required by FMVSS-205, ECER
43, CCC, and other country regulations.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or another technical field required, or;
High School diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years relevant manufacturing quality experience required. - Certification: IATF Internal Auditor certification is required; IATF Lead Auditor preferred.

Experience:
3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment with an undergraduate degree; 8+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment with a high school diploma or equivalent. - Other Requirements: Recent training in Core Tools, or willingness to receive training within the first year in the position; working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5‑S, Total Quality Concepts, and Six Sigma; possessing a robust understanding of IATF and ISO standards and their implementation in an automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 facility; valid driver’s license required for business travel; regular and predictable attendance required;
off‑schedule hours may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands‑on approach to problem solving and analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills.
