Auburn School Department is seeking a candidate who is excited about joining our very supportive school community. School Mission Statement: A Safe Place For Students and Adults. Seeking a candidate who is willing to work well as part of a close-knit team; demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs including developing out-of-the-box alternatives to foster student success; has the capacity to problem solve quickly and come up with creative solutions;
is dedicated to helping at-risk students meet personal and academic goals; has a commitment to a safe school culture, one that is free of bullying, prioritizes respect, fosters acceptance, and promotes academic success; has the desire to work with at-risk student populations; has experience and/or interest in developing new curriculum; and has the capacity to teach in content areas outside of their certification with support.
- experience teaching in an alternative setting
- experience in working as part of a grade level or disciplinary teams
- experience in literacy
- Maine Department of Education Certification in math education.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
