Overview
The Scale Operator/Office Administrator provides professional clerical and administrative support to the division, supporting managers, employees, and customers, and providing coverage at the transfer stations. The incumbent weighs inbound and outbound materials at transfer station facilities, processes outbound Bills of Lading, and ensures that material loaded into the vehicle correlates with the release number provided by the hauler. The role also supplies information to callers, maintains files, organizes schedules, generates standard reports, produces correspondence, and provides support to the dispatch team as needed.

Hiring Range: $20-$22/hour for qualified candidates.
Hours:
Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm and Saturdays 7:00am-Noon.
- Follows all company standards, procedures, and policies and complies with permitted regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively and professionally with drivers, staff, and customers.
- Maintains accurate scale operations and records to ensure factual reporting.
- Communicates with vendors to collect invoices and send them to accounts payable.
- Provides general administrative and clerical support including scanning, filing, faxing, and copying to support facility needs.
- Coordinates loading and unloading of materials, machine actions with other activities, and positioning or moving loads and machinery in a busy environment.
- Interfaces with company drivers, outside haulers, and 3rd party vehicles to oversee accurate job functions.
- Handles incoming and outgoing calls and routes inquiries to the proper personnel.
- Assists in month-end processes.
- Composes and updates regular correspondence to ensure consistency and assists with monthly customer price changes and letters.
- Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, 1-3 years of related industrial experience, a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and be legally eligible to work in the US. Experience or interest in an environmental and/or sustainability field is preferred. Must have reliable transportation to travel between Auburn & Oxford site daily; mileage will be reimbursed.
Outstanding relationship management, listening, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Excellent organizational skills and a positive, professional mindset are expected.
