Hair Stylist at Locally-Owned Salon

Job Description We're a locally-owned salon passionate about creating a welcoming, creative space for both clients and staff. Our small business values teamwork, flexibility, and a client-first approach. We're seeking a talented and personable hair stylist to join our close-knit team.

To rent a hair booth, it costs $175 per week, for a total of $700 per month. You will then have the ability to create your own schedule (within our salon's regular open hours), set your own prices, build a clientele, and take home all of your own earnings. We provide the spaces and chair, and you must provide your own hair tools and products.

• Provide a full range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality results.
• Recommend retail products to meet client hair care needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station and salon environment.
• Stay up to date on trends, techniques, and salon products.
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture.
• Build and retain a strong client base through excellent service and follow-up.

• Valid state cosmetology license.
• Proven experience as a hair stylist or barber (1+ years preferred).
• Proficiency in various cutting and coloring techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

• Experience in a small or boutique salon environment.
• Knowledge of our hair care product lines.
• Established clientele is a plus but not required.
