AMT is currently seeking an Electronic System Installation Technician to join our team in Auburn. The Electronic System Installation Technician is primarily responsible for installation of broadcast system electronics cabling and equipment into mobile communication vehicles according to our design engineer’s documentation, manufacturer’s specifications, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a great attitude, mechanical aptitude, and some knowledge of electronics integration.

Job Responsibilities
  • Cut, label and terminate a variety of electronic cabling. This includes audio, video, RF, Telco and microwave cables.
  • Install harnesses into racks per system engineer design flows.
  • Install and connect equipment in electronics racks per design drawings.
  • Install wall components such as monitors, speakers and assorted equipment.
  • Follow written instructions and record work completed in accordance with company standard operating procedure.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering line drawings.
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools (crimpers, strippers, cutters, heat guns, soldering irons and drills).
  • Previous experience in the broadcast television industry a plus.
  • Experience with terminating different types of electronics connectors a huge plus.
  • Applicant must have their own basic tool set and tool box/cart.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Detail oriented, organized, responsive and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • Ability to read written instructions in English.
  • Ability to visually distinguish colors.
  • Ability to frequently lift, move, and/or carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, crouch, kneel, reach and work in confined spaces.
