Position Overview:

A facility in Auburn is seeking two highly skilled and motivated Cath Lab Registered Nurses to join our team. This role is essential to our interventional and diagnostic cardiac services, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures in a community hospital setting.

Schedule Details:
  • Shifts: Day Shift options available
    • 4 x 10-Hour (08:00 – 18:00)
    • 5 x 8-Hour (08:00 – 16:00)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekend/Call Requirements: Per facility needs
Key Responsibilities & Clinical Skills
  • Procedural Support: Assist in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, including Left and Right heart catheterizations.
  • Monitoring: Manage Pulmonary Artery Lines (Swan Ganz) and interpret/manage dysrhythmias.
  • Sedation: Administer and monitor procedural sedation according to hospital protocols.
  • Cardiac Care: Provide expert care for adult patients throughout the peri-procedural phase.
  • Telemetry Mastery: Independently measure and interpret telemetry strips (no telemetry technicians on staff).
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience (within the last 12 months).
  • Licensure: Active New York State RN License (Candidates who have applied for their NY license will be considered with proof of application date).
  • Certifications:
    * Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • NIHSS Certification
  • Education: Must pass a 15-question Telemetry Assessment with a score of 80% or higher on the first day of orientation.
Facility-Specific Information:
  • EMR System: Paragon (Training provided).
  • Telemetry Testing: The day-one assessment covers heart blocks, arrhythmias, paced rhythms, and clinical interventions. A remediation attempt is provided if the initial score is below 80%.
  • Requested Time Off (RTO): All RTO must be disclosed at the time of submittal. Requests made after an offer is extended will not be approved.
  • Local Policy: Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are considered "local" and may be subject to a different rate.
  • Travelers: First-time travelers are welcome to apply and will be considered based on experience.
