Requirements- Minimum 2+ years of recent Step-Down/PCU experience
- Community Hospital experience required
- Certifications
Required:- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Previous Charge experience preferred
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Post Heart Catheterization Patients
- Post Vascular Procedures
- Respiratory Failure (BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm)
- Cardiac Dysrhythmias
- Stroke/CVA Patients
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
- Daily Census: 9
- 9-Bed Unit
- Medication System: Pyxis
- EMR: Paragon (training provided)
- Step-Down / PCU / IMC Experience
- Cardiac Monitoring & Telemetry
- Dysrhythmia Interpretation and Management
- 12-Lead EKG Interpretation
- Post Cardiac Cath Care
- TR Band Monitoring
- Cardiac Drip Titration
- Vasoactive Drip Management
- CVA / Stroke Care
- BiPAP & CPAP Management
- Chest Tube Management
- PICC & Central Line Care
- Blood Product Administration
- Procedural Sedation Monitoring
- Heparin Protocols
- Wound Care
- IV Starts and Maintenance
- Infection Prevention & Isolation Precautions
- Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Every Other Holiday (EOH)
- No Block Scheduling
- Required during orientation

- Must score 80% or higher
- Two attempts allowed
- Failure after second attempt results in contract cancellation
