Compensation: $28.85 – $40.87 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Job OverviewThe CNC Machinist III operates 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis machining centers to produce high‑quality aerospace components. Responsibilities include machine setup, tooling, blueprint interpretation, and maintaining quality standards with minimal supervision.
Typical Duties- Operate CNC 3, 4, 5‑axis machining centers and Horizontal Mills, with minimal supervision.
- Perform setups on 3‑, 4‑, 5‑axis machining centers.
- Inspect parts to ensure high‑quality standards.
- Run up to two machines when time allows.
- Deburr parts while machines run, if time allows.
- Machine tooling for 3‑, 4‑, 5‑axis parts with minimal supervision.
- Suggest ideas for new part implementation and improvements.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow process specifications, drawings, rework/rejection tags, work instructions, and relevant controls.
- Perform tool changes and offsets as needed.
- Use measuring tools: height gauge, micrometer, calipers, dial indicators.
- Adhere to safety procedures and standards.
- Preserve equipment with preventive maintenance.
- Replace tools as needed to assure machine operation.
- Commit to improving CNC part processes.
- Wear PPE when working on the plant floor.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
- Work positively with process improvements and changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years experience in aerospace or commercial manufacturing; knowledge of CNC operation.
- Technical certificate in manufacturing preferred.
- Certified Machinist preferred.
- Master
CAM and 5‑Axis knowledge preferred. - Horizontal mill and hard‑metal experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO
9001:2015/AS9100D. - Strong understanding of blueprints and geometric tolerancing.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motion for several hours.
- May require climbing, walking, standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Perseverance under pressure for extended periods.
- Valid state driver’s license preferred; ability to obtain insurance coverage.
- Real‑ driver’s license or acceptable alternative for federal installation access.
- Ability to obtain security clearances; background check and E‑Verify required.
