American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a floating position across ICU and ED overflow units, requiring WA or compact RN licensure and 2+ years of ICU experience.
Details- Floating position covering ICU-level and below patients across Auburn and possibly Covington
- Approximately 75% of time spent caring for PCU-level patients in ED overflow
- 16-bed ICU unit within the Nursing Resource department
- 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation required
- May act as lead nurse in ED holding area
- Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring required
- Skilled in ventilator/trach and BiPAP management required
- Experience with invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, and chest tubes required
- IV medication titration experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Care for patients with conditions including respiratory failure, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, general post-op, CVA, ETOH, and overdose
- Does not accept craniotomy, major trauma, or major cardiothoracic cases
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs may be any color except camo, with navy blue preferred
