Compensation: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Role OverviewThe Deburr Technician II independently performs complex deburring, edge conditioning, and surface finishing operations on close‑tolerance aerospace components. The role applies advanced techniques, interprets engineering drawings, supports quality objectives, and may assist with training and mentoring Level I Technicians while maintaining high productivity and workmanship standards. Within Tessera, the Level II technician will lead on complex defense jobs, especially parts with hard‑metal properties.
Responsibilities- Perform manual deburring and edge breaking on machined aerospace parts using hand tools (files, stones, scrapers, Scotch‑Brite, etc.).
- Remove sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections per engineering drawings, process sheets, and customer specifications.
- Follow written work instructions, routers, and visual aids to ensure consistent workmanship.
- Demonstrate familiarity with applicable Boeing BAC specifications and follow defined requirements.
- Inspect own work for basic conformance to dimensional, cosmetic, and surface finish requirementsli>
- Properly handle parts to prevent damage, contamination, or foreign object debris (FOD).
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Use basic measuring and inspection tools (calipers, radius gauges, visual comparators) as trained.
- Identify and elevate nonconforming conditions to leads or quality personnel.
- Adhere to AS9100 quality requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- 3+ years of previous experience in the aerospace industry is required.
- Combination of education and previous experience will be considered.
- AS9100 awareness or internal quality system training is preferred.
- FOD prevention certification is preferred.
- Boeing BAC specification training is preferred.
- Customer workmanship standards preference.
- Inspection or measurement training preferred.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
