Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Cashier – Fred Meyer (Food 4 Less)
Part‑time or full‑time positions available. Base pay is $16.91/hour – $24.15/hour, depending on skills and experience.
Based in California, Food 4 Less merged with The Kroger Company in 1998. We proudly serve customers in over 100 stores across California and the Midwest.

Roles and Responsibilities- Greet, engage and assist customers; maintain a clean & safe environment.
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle various payment methods:
Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, loyalty offers, coupons, and city‑specific promotions. - Adhere to cash handling limits, company policies on restricted items, and loss controls.
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
- Follow policy for stamps, gift cards, coupons, and special advertising.
- Stay current with current, seasonal, and special ad promotions.
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety programs, and promptly report unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment and notify management for repairs.
- Answer customer product questions throughout the store and create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated.
- Act honestly and with integrity.
- Follow directions and obtain assistance when necessary for customer or business issues.
- Provide support to minors, special‑needs individuals, and older adults.
- Manage conflict in a cooperative, non‑confrontational manner.
- Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Customer service experience.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.
