The New Home Consultant Trainee will operate a Welcome Home Center under the guidance of a mentor. The role involves generating and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, engaging with customers to process sale agreements, and closing new‑home sales.
Responsibilities- Engage and establish relationships with visitors to understand their home‑buying needs, utilizing the company’s selling philosophy.
- Self‑generate sales leads through community engagement, realtor partnerships, and proactive prospecting.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the competitive market, including products, community features, and demographics.
- Provide consistent follow‑through with customers from initial contact to post‑closing, maintaining accurate communication records.
- Participate in sales meetings, neighborhood promotions, and marketing programs.
- Ensure the maintenance of Welcome Home Center models and inventory homes.
- Complete required training and participate in community events and phone banks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and real estate license preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use sales tracking tools.
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Regular in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices during regular work hours is essential. This is primarily an active position involving office/phone work and walking in all weather conditions and uneven surfaces to and within homesites in the community. A valid state driver’s license is required to take customers throughout the neighborhood, visit realtor offices, and attend meetings. Finger dexterity is needed to operate computer keyboard and telephone equipment.
Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 25 pounds is required.
Base compensation ranges from an hourly rate of $25, subject to adjustment based on business‑related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations.
