Our client is seeking a Red Seal Transport and Trailer Mechanic to join their team in Dartmouth, NS. Job Title: Red Seal Transport and Trailer Mechanic
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Pay Range: $60000 - $75000
What's the Job?- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on transport trucks and trailers, including heavy equipment systems.
- Service and troubleshoot components to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out mechanical work on equipment such as Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, Bayview, East Coast International, and Cummins systems.
- Inspect vehicles and parts to identify wear, damage, and potential issues before they become failures.
- Complete repairs and documentation accurately to support safe, reliable fleet operations.
- Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent Red Seal trade qualification.
- Hands-on experience working as a mechanic on transport trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical problems efficiently and correctly.
- Commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail during inspections and repairs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly about vehicle condition and repair needs.
- Work with a team focused on keeping transport and trailer equipment in top condition.
