Gray Mar Environmental Services, LLC is hiring a CDL A Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. The position offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and a competitive base rate of $35–$41 per hour, determined by experience.

Base pay range: $35.00/hr – $41.00/hr.

Position Overview / Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Driver supports local branch operations and transports non‑hazardous and hazardous waste materials via multiple vehicle types including roll‑offs, tankers, box vans, and air movers. The Driver also performs tasks under the direct guidance of a supervisor, including non‑emergency and emergency response activities involving confined‑space entry such as manhole access, tank cleaning, oil‑spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high‑pressure washing, and various remedial activities.

Duties

/ Responsibilities
  • Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Adheres to and documents all transportation compliance requirements, including inspection reports, mileage logs, and trip reports.
  • Primarily local driving; may require some out‑of‑town travel.
  • Loads and unloads vehicle loads.
  • Operates light and heavy equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, and pressure washers, and provides administrative support to the operations team.
  • Wears PPE properly and adheres to all safety procedures.
  • Performs labor‑intensive activities in all weather conditions.
  • Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights.
  • Operates light and heavy equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, skid steers, excavators, pressure washers, pumps, and other company work vehicles.
  • Attends mandatory training to earn certifications and obtain information specific to responsibilities.
  • Ensures all proper paperwork is signed and submitted.
  • Works “on‑call” based on a rotating “on‑call” schedule for emergency responses.
  • May require out‑of‑town travel; length of travel varies based on service center and ongoing project requirements.
  • Complies with ongoing and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company and our clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Operation of multiple vehicle types such as roll‑offs, tankers, box vans, and air movers.
  • Safety‑oriented mindset with determination to follow all procedures and policies.
  • Hazmat transportation, including placarding and manifesting.
  • Active listening, coordination, operation monitoring, reading comprehension, and social perceptiveness.
  • Ability to get to/from the job site.
  • Demonstrates accountability and punctuality.
