UW Area FedEx Delivery Driver

What is the job?

• Full-time job delivering packages for Fed Ex.
• Perform about 100 to 200 stops daily (5 days a week, optional 6th and 7th days available).
• Includes all deliveries, with 1 to 5 pickups.
• Service area:
  University of Washington Area (Fed Ex terminal located in Auburn, WA, where you will start and end your route).

The PAY

• Training rate of $750 per week (until you are able to service the route independently).
• Full-time pay: higher of $1100 per week or $1.40 per stop (gross pay, before taxes).
• Potential to earn up to $1500 to $1700 weekly depending on stops serviced ($1.40 per stop).

The GOOD:

• Highly condensed service area.
• All stops are GPS-mapped.
• Work hours:
  
  approximately 7 to 9 hours per day, 5 days a week.
• Brand new delivery truck provided.
• Consistent work schedule.

The BAD:

• Traffic congestion between Auburn, WA terminal and the University of Washington Area.
• Physically demanding work.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 21 years old, valid driver’s license, clean driving record.
• Pass a drug test (including marijuana) and undergo random drug screens.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs., or 150 lbs. with a hand truck.
• Pass Fed Ex Ground criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to climb stairs and work in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.

Note:

Short-term work seekers need not apply. It takes 2-4 weeks to learn the route, during which time pay is at the training rate of $750/week.

Experience in local delivery driving (e.g., UPS, Amazon, Fed Ex, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, Lyft) is a plus. Immediate hiring is available.

Daily Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate vehicle safely at all times.
• Deliver and pick up packages for businesses and residences (up to 150 stops daily).
• Perform vehicle inspections daily.
• Load and organize vehicle for delivery.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with management.
• Use scanner to track deliveries accurately.
• Ensure proper delivery and pickup of packages.
• Complete route efficiently and on time.
• Paid vacation after 6 months of employment.

Paid training at $800 per week (gross) covering route procedures, equipment operation, customer service, and safety.
