Manage the department’s student rotations, coordinate travel and calendars, and serve as the front‑desk receptionist for the Department of Ophthalmology at Augusta University.
Responsibilities- Coordinate student intern rotations, including scheduling, grade posting, and other related program duties.
- Coordinate travel and prepare travel expense statements for assigned faculty.
- Assist faculty with calendar management, meeting scheduling, and leave request processing.
- Serve as the receptionist for the MCG‑Ophthalmology administrative suite—greeting guests, answering phones, and monitoring fax machines.
- Complete additional duties as assigned, such as making copies, updating office signs, and other administrative tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and support assigned faculty in all administrative functions.
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
- OR high‑school diploma/GED with six years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
- Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office and related computer software/databases.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multi‑tasking abilities.
- Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with cybersecurity and privacy policies.
Shift: Days;
Monday – Friday (outside business hours may be required).
Salary: $15.77 – $18.89 per hour.
Pay Band: B2.
Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
