Job SummaryThe Donor Engagement Coordinator is a pivotal member of the Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (PAE) team, nurturing donor relationships and executing engagement initiatives. The role demands strong communication, event planning, database management, and an ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining discretion with sensitive information.
Responsibilities- Database Management: Maintain accurate donor records, reconcile data, and support donor‑focused projects including reports and mailing lists.
- Professional Writing & Communication: Draft Gift Agreements, donor postcards, acknowledgment letters, and coordinate communication with Major Gift Officers.
- Events: Coordinate donor recognition events, manage timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and oversee event execution.
- Office Management: Handle supplies, budgets, calendars, invoices, templates, and file organization.
- Other: Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in donor engagement, fundraising, professional writing, database management, or event planning.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in higher education or nonprofit settings.
- Advanced writing and reporting skills, including Endowment Reports.
- Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge, ODDER, Thank View, Docu Sign, and other constituent management tools.
- Willingness to work non‑traditional hours (mornings, nights, weekends) for events.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including grammar and editing.
- High competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and database software.
- Confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgment.
- Creative problem‑solving and strategic thinking.
Shift: Monday‑Friday, typical business hours; some evenings or weekends may be required.
Pay Band: B8 – Salary range $45,400 to $55,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications.
Recruitment Period: 12/22/25 – Until Filled.
Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, retirement, vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a Tuition Assistance Program after 6 months of employment.
