Data Coordinator 2 – Augusta University
Job Summary: The Data Coordinator 2 provides research, grant, and administrative support for the Pediatric Hemophilia/Thrombosis Program in the Department of Pediatrics. Responsibilities include preparing and processing grant/contract applicants, managing sponsor accounts, budgeting, preparing reports, entering data into the ATHNs database to meet grant requirements, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
Responsibilities- Accurately enter patient data into the ATHNs database.
- Track and report adverse events.
- Learn electronic data entry process for required studies.
- Ensure data is transmitted to sponsors in a timely manner.
- Maintain all deadlines and assist the team with reminders.
- Ensure all data is handled in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
- Assist Principal Investigator and team in implementing data management policies.
- Respond to inquiries regarding data collection, entry, and retrieval.
- Prepare budget reports, reconcile grant accounts, and ensure budget compliance.
- Prepare grant/study reports.
- Participate in development of research protocols and ensure adherence to scientific principles.
- Assist with industry‑sponsored clinical trials.
- Coordinate activities with campus departments to ensure successful study execution.
- Submit research proposals to regulatory departments.
- Manage team time, leave calendar, and travel documentation.
- Order program supplies and assist with planning and execution of events.
- Assist with creating program newsletters, flyers, brochures.
- Perform all other job‑related tasks as assigned.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or completion of two years of college coursework with two years of related work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other database software.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills.
Shift: Days (Monday – Friday)
Salary: $18.85 – $19.65 per hour (dependent on qualifications); this position is 100% grant‑funded.
Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), paid vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Full‑time employees who have been with the university >6 months may qualify for a Tuition Assistance Program.
