Job Summary

The Business Manager 2 will lead the St. Joseph’s Candler Residency Programs, collaborating with campus leadership and administrative staff to support day‑to‑day financial, administrative, and educational operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead residency program administration for 60 FTE residents and maintain accreditation documentation.
  • Manage the online ERAS application process, field resident inquiries, and coordinate resident interviews.
  • Develop and maintain processes for tracking data with the GME Office / ACGME and oversee daily program activities.
  • Supervise the residency program coordinator and train staff for the roll‑out of three additional residency programs (40 residents).
  • Create, monitor, and disseminate rotation schedules; track and enter hours into the institutional system.
  • Assist with credentialing for St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital System and Augusta University.
  • Track work hour logs and ensure compliance; support didactic scheduling and creation of a master calendar.
  • Maintain tools that track residents’ progression to milestones and coordinate remedial actions when necessary.
  • Support scholarly work tracking and maintain performance standards for rotations.
  • Disseminate program policies to faculty and set up training for supervision and evaluation of trainees.
  • Collaborate with Program Director and hospital leadership on financial reviews, travel authorizations, expense reports, purchase orders, and reconciliations.
  • Process travel approvals and work with external vendors as needed.
  • Serve as liaison for hiring core faculty and onboarding new residents in partnership with the AU GME office.
  • Meet expectations of the central GME office to ensure resident onboarding and approval processes are followed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and at least three years of administrative management experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
