Job Summary
This position manages day-to-day operations of distribution and receiving.
Responsibilities- Supervise clerical and manual tasks involved in receipt, verification, storage, safekeeping and issuance of equipment, materials and supplies.
- Prepare reports concerning shortages and damaged materials received; store material according to established procedures and follow up with departments on delivery.>
- Plan and schedule work of receiving and distribution personnel to ensure proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing; approve time and vacation schedules for staff; maintain spreadsheets of package counts and submit to manager monthly.
- Respond to customers’ requests in a professional, helpful, and timely manner in person, email or on the telephone.
- Operate light or medium weight trucks and equipment to pick up and deliver materials and supplies according to priority of need or predetermined schedule; load and unload trucks by hand or forklift as needed; transport and transfer supplies and equipment from one storage area to another.
- Recommend various personnel actions including hiring, performance recommendations, promotions, training new personnel on practices and procedures.
- Identify assets to be tagged and liaise with the Property Control team to initiate the tagging process.
- Recommend ordering of equipment, materials, and supplies that are needed.
- Maintain clean and orderly conditions in assigned areas.
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or GED from a recognized state or federal accredited organization with two years of experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required.
Email client and internet browser skills.
Delivery truck, stand office equipment, carts and handheld computer skills.
Required Experience
Supply and distribution functions.
Two-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
AbilitiesWritten and verbal communication, dexterity and memory and computer knowledge.

Salary:
Minimum $25.24/hour - $26.71/hour
Recruitment Period: 12/9/25 - Until Filled

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
