Augusta Technical College Job Requisition Shift: Not Applicable (United States of America) Compensation Details: $42,179.64 - $52,000.00; COMMENSURATE WITH EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE.
The Business Asset Accountant focuses on managing the college’s physical infrastructure, assets, and related operations to support academic and administrative functions. This position ensures that facilities and assets are maintained, utilized efficiently, and aligned with the system’s strategic goals. It involves overseeing the lifecycle of facilities and ensuring compliance with state and institutional requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES- Maintain asset records:
Track inventory, condition, and location of facilities and equipment, ensuring accurate documentation for reporting and compliance. - Coordinate with stakeholders:
Collaborate with college administrators, faculty, staff, and vendors to address facility needs and project timelines. - Ensure compliance:
Follow state regulations, safety standards, and institutional policies for facilities and asset management. - Manages State Vehicles:
Oversees state vehicle operations, including usage tracking and maintenance scheduling. - Manages Rental Spaces:
Oversees the rental and scheduling of facilities across all campuses. - Other Duties as assigned.
Requires strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities across diverse facilities. Proficient in computer operations and job-related software, with sound decision-making skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and excellent oral and written communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a related field (e.g., facilities management, business administration, engineering), and three years of full-time-related experience in a position related to the performance of the job.
- Skills and experience typically include asset tracking and inventory systems, strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment. The role also requires the physical ability to stand and walk for extended durations.
- At least five years of full-time paid work experience in Facilities and Assets Management or Accounting.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree
* and* Three (3) years of work related experience
- Note:
Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
