Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead field safety operations for a new, large-scale stadium construction project in Augusta, Georgia
. This role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and enforcing all site safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment across multiple contractors and trades.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and confident field safety leader who excels at engaging teams, driving compliance, and fostering a strong culture of safety on site.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments throughout the project site.
- Lead and deliver orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety trainings for trade partners and subcontractors.
- Enforce OSHA, company, and client-specific EHS standards through consistent field presence and communication.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, identify root causes, and oversee corrective action implementation.
- Maintain accurate site reports, hazard logs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with project leadership and contractors to identify and mitigate potential risks before work begins.
- Promote continuous improvement in safety performance through engagement, accountability, and training.
- OSHA 30 required;
OSHA 510/500
, or equivalent advanced safety certifications preferred. - Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably with large-scale or vertical commercial projects.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and high-hazard activities (fall protection, cranes, scaffolding, excavation, electrical).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence safe behavior on site.
- Proven ability to proactively identify hazards and implement effective corrective actions.
