ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly qualified Neonatologist to join our well-established group in Augusta, Georgia. Piedmont Augusta (formerly University Hospital) is a 812-bed, acute-care facility that serves the Augusta-Richmond County area and 25 counties across two states.
- Coverage includes a 28-bed Level-III NICU and Normal Newborn Nursery with approximately 3000 deliveries per year and an average daily NICU census of 15
- One week per month of NICU attending, a flexible number of weeks providing term nursery coverage, plus 25% coverage during four holiday weeks (Masters, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Team of 4 Neonatologists and 5 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with 24/7 in-house NNP coverage and physician call from home
- Healthy, family-oriented culture
- Flexible scheduling with generous off-service time, no administrative responsibilities, and limited holiday coverage requirements
- No surgical, iNO, or therapeutic hypothermia patients (regional referral center is one mile away)
