Position: Lead Instructor Dialysis (Hemodialysis)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field.
Professional
  • Professional certification in dialysis.
  • Must be currently certified through BONENT, ANNA, or NNCO.
Experience
  • Must have a minimum of four years of dialysis experience.
  • 2000 hours in the last three years in clinical work.
  • Teaching and curriculum development experience preferred.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain open communication with Program Director.
  • Provide classroom, lab and/or clinical instruction based on school and program policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Director of Education in development of course schedule, syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional material for each assigned course.
  • Demonstrate exceptional practice skills with ability to deliver course content related to course objectives.
  • Create an environment conducive to student learning in the classroom and laboratory utilizing a variety of instructional modalities.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe teaching environment obeying safety regulations where applicable.
  • Maintain professionalism and classroom management with a diverse student population.
  • Demonstrate accessibility in dealing with students’ needs individually and as a group that fosters student retention.
  • Plan and conduct CHT certification workshops.
  • Maintain, inventory and order dialysis equipment and supplies.
  • Effectively evaluate student performance in classroom, laboratory and clinical area based on designated evaluation tools.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of academic and student services policies.
  • Demonstrate constructive planning and general effectiveness based on student and administrative evaluations.
  • Submit and update all paperwork, required reports, and evaluations to students and administration as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
