Job Summary

The Academic Success Coordinator will plan, develop, and manage the implementation and monitoring of tutoring and academic support programs related to math and the physical sciences in general education courses for the Academic Success Center (ASC) at Augusta University.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the academic success programming in designated areas: develop and maintain a tutoring program for content courses, recruit and train student‑tutors, schedule tutoring sessions, supervise tutoring staff, manage scheduling, coordinate payroll and documentation.
  • Support the goals of the ASC: collaborate with faculty on course content, provide feedback on student progress, liaise with university programs and services to develop programming to promote student academic success.
  • Engage in data collection and develop reports: maintain enrollment and retention data, create regular reports on tutoring services.
  • Develop a virtual presence for ASC: develop online learning modules, maintain web content for workshops/seminars.
  • Engage with students to promote academic success skills: provide one‑on‑one and group workshops, support students in academic life skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and at least two years of experience working with various student populations. MSc, MEd, MAT accepted.
  • Preferred qualifications:

    knowledge of program development, data gathering, assessment and evaluation skills; excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills; flexible attitude for a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Knowledge and skills: experience with Banner and student tracking software; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Benefits

Day shift, Pay Band B8, Salary commensurate with qualifications. Conditions of Employment

All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a background check before starting. Proof of completed academic degree(s) required for faculty hires.
