JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
Master’s degree (preferred).
Certification or Licensure:Must possess a valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to acquire. Graduate work in reading, math or technology AND/OR related endorsements (reading, math, gifted, STEM, online teaching, personalized learning, computer science, teacher support and coaching, teacher leader, coaching) preferred. Reading or Math Endorsement (preferred). Must meet the district’s online learning competency requirement. Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement or ability to acquire within two years.
Skills:Knowledge of RCSS curriculum, techniques for integrating technology into the curriculum, RCSS policies, and effective instructional practices for face to face and virtual instruction. Understanding of the teaching and learning process.
Ability to problem solve and work effectively with administrators, teachers and students. Technical proficiency and the ability to learn new technology and online systems quickly. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills. Knowledge of Canvas Learning Management System.
Work Experience:At least five years of successful teaching experience; evidence of student achievement and student progress; strong leadership skills; familiarity with adult learning and online learning; evidence of effective technology use; and data analysis skills.
PRIMARY DUTYUnder the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning, supports, develops and coaches teachers on increasing content knowledge and skills for effective teaching and learning.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, and sit. Travel may be required for this position.
Required to attend school meetings, programs and activities outside the instructional day as mandated by RCSS contract. Some work beyond the school day may be required.
