Augusta houses Clearwater Paper’s largest paperboard facility and is home to more than 600 team members. Together, our team makes paperboard used in products across the United States, including food packaging, plates, cups and more. With nearly 65 years of operation, the mill spans 3,000 acres and runs two paper machines that collectively produce up to 1,940 tons per day.

The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing engineering projects, leading and mentoring a team of engineers, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives, including resource allocation and budgeting. Additionally, provide strategic guidance and technical insights to prioritize initiatives and implement best practices to improve engineering capabilities.

• Positive role model for all mill personnel in safety, quality and productivity
• Provide guidance, instruction and mentoring for the engineering staff on technical and business aspects of projects
• Provide career development planning for engineering staff
• Manage the site capital deployment strategy
• Ensure adequate engineering tracking and reporting controls are being followed to evaluate the projects progress, schedule, and performance
• Ensure engineering staff are tracking and communicating project status and key milestones to internal project stakeholders, adjust project plans, budget requests and or resources as required to meet project requirements
• Assist in overseeing construction efforts and provide support with any troubleshooting or problem solving required to meet the design intent
• Ensure drawings and design details of existing facility are up to date and all field modifications made during construction are accurately documented
• Actively participate in site strategy development
• Lead when necessary, troubleshooting efforts of significant equipment failures until the asset is up and running

• Influence management on strategic technical direction
• Support site in evaluating projects requiring outside engineering
• Develop or enhance project tools and engineering guidelines used to standardize engineering practices as it pertains to project management and implementation
• Develop and maintain close coordination with maintenance to achieve site reliability and project execution
• Oversee programs related to preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, data management, and asset health monitoring
• Develop and monitor engineering KPIs and recommend improvements using data‑driven decision
