Job Overview

Civil/Geotechnical Engineer role at Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc.

Base pay range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year. Salary will be based on experience and discussed with manager in interview.

Atlanta, GA

• Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.
• Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings.
• Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testing.
• Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings, and designs.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and slope stability analysis.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 1-3 years’ experience with geotechnical engineering knowledge.
• 1-3 years’ experience preparing geotechnical engineering reports, including site investigations, soil analysis, and foundation recommendations.
• Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages, are highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of experience working on GDOT projects is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub-consultants, and utility companies.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
