As a Budget Analyst I or II within East Central Public Health District, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Starting Salary
  • Budget Analyst I - $40,000
  • Budget Analyst II - $47,000

Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner and leaders encourages all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well‑being. All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Analyst I Responsibilities

Under supervision, develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises budget and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues, analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation and recommends appropriate courses of action to management. Performs expenditure analyses and prepares budget‑related financial summaries and recommendations for management review. Manage multiple fund accounts including budget preparation, monitoring, & adjustments;

process all receipts and deposits; bank reconciliations; financial analysis & projections, reporting. Comply with GAAP and audit procedures/principles.

Budget Analyst II Responsibilities

Under general supervision, develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises budgets and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or programs areas. Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues, analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation and recommends appropriate courses of action to management.
