American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a High-Risk Labor & Delivery position requiring at least two years of high-risk L&D experience and multiple certifications.

Job Details

• Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery and perinatal hospital unit,

• Handles laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and OBED patients,

• Patient ratio is 1:1-2 in L&D and 1:4-6 in postpartum/antepartum based on acuity,

• Uses Epic EMR, Obix monitoring, Omnicell, and specialized L&D and fetal monitoring equipment,

• Shifts are 12 hours, with both day and night shifts available (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30),

• Weekends are required and no call is required,

• Opportunity to train and float to OBED for RNs with at least two years of high-risk L&D experience,

• Unit consists of 12 L&D beds, 16 postpartum/antepartum beds, and 4 OBED beds,

• OR scrubs are provided on the unit,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license for Georgia or multi-state compact license,

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring,

• Minimum of two years' experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing,

• Competence in perinatal, L&D, and postpartum protocols,

• Proficiency with Epic EMR and specialized monitoring equipment,

Additional Information

• Provide and document comprehensive care for women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum,

• Monitor maternal and fetal health and respond quickly to emergencies,

• Collaborate closely with OB residents, attendings, and the healthcare team,

• Complete a three-day, preceptor-based orientation and L&D-specific computer modules,

• Must complete orientation competency checklist and Accucheck competency,

• Adhere to established protocols and team nursing practices to ensure safe care,

• Dress code requires use of provided OR scrubs,

• Two-week notice may be given for assignment completion,
