Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring at least two years of L&D experience and strong specialized certifications.

Job Details

• Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery/perinatal unit within a hospital setting,

• Care for patients in L&D (12 beds), postpartum/antepartum (16 beds), and OBED (4 beds),

• Patient ratios: L&D 1:1-2 depending on acuity, postpartum/antepartum 1:4-6 depending on acuity,

• Specialized equipment includes Epic EMR, Obix and Philips fetal monitors, Omnicell, Accucheck, Medela Symphony breast pumps, and GE Panda beds,

• 12-hour shifts, either 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am, with weekend shifts required,

• No call required,

• RNs with at least 2 years of high-risk L&D experience may be eligible to float to the OBED,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license for GA or a multi-state compact RN license,

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring,

• At least two years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience,

• Experience using Epic EMR is required,

• Completion of L&D-specific orientation and computer-based training modules,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal health, managing labor and delivery processes, providing patient education, and supporting postpartum care,

• Clinical duties may involve using fetal monitoring systems, medication management, and emergency response as needed,

• Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including OB residents and attendings,

• Three-day preceptor-based orientation provided with competency checklist,

• OR scrubs are provided on the unit,

• Must adhere to perinatal protocols and pathways,

• Two-week notice is required for resigning from the position,
