Role Overview :
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for implementing infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, investigation, data analysis, consultation, and education. They support the Hospital Infection Prevention Program to enhance patient outcomes across clinical areas and serve as the Infection Prevention Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct infection surveillance and investigations
- Analyze and interpret infection data
- Provide consultation and education on infection prevention
- Support hospital-wide infection control initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field; relevant experience or specialized training may substitute
- Minimum of 2 years in nursing or an acute care setting; 3+ years of infection prevention experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
