School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University invites applications for a PhD-level Research Scientist (non-tenure track faculty) position. The position may cover any area of computer science, cybersecurity, or information systems/security management and related disciplines.

• Conduct research and provide advanced scientific, technical, and administrative support for applied research at SCCS and the Cyber Institute.
• Perform research and experimental system development on applied research projects; invent new tools, languages, and systems; design experiments and analyze results to advance computing technology.
• Develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures; publish findings in academic journals and present at conferences.
• Teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in computing areas offered by the school.

• PhD in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, data science, biomedical engineering, or related discipline.

• Experience and eligibility to obtain clearance to work on research projects funded by DOD and/or DOE.
• US Citizenship required for participation and clearance to certain research collaboration sites.

The School of Computer and Cyber Sciences was established in 2017 with the mission to provide high-engagement, state-of-the-art technology education and research across computer science, information technology, and cybersecurity disciplines. The School is transforming toward a comprehensive research college with national prominence and leadership in computing and cybersecurity education and research. The school has growing externally funded research with awards from NSF, NSA, ONR, and other agencies.

• Bachelor of Science in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, cyber operations, cybersecurity engineering, and biomedical systems engineering
• Master of Science in Information Security Management
• Master of Science in Computer Science
• Doctor of Philosophy in Computer and Cyber Sciences
