Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for managing the project’s Quality Control Program to ensure all O&M activities meet or exceed contractual requirements. Possess a high level of attention to detail, strong work ethic, and provide accurate timely reporting, communicating effectively to management as well as the government representatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and execute the quality control program in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable laws, regulations, and best commercial practices
  • Ensuring that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met in accordance with the project’s requirements
  • Manage and develop workload schedules for team
  • Provide training and support for staff to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards and safety requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of services to ensure compliance with contract specifications and standards
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure non-recurrence of defective services
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions
  • Prepare and submit detailed quality control reports and deliverables including recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant data and analysis to enable effective management of maintenance operations
  • Create and present recommendations to streamline production processes in ways that heighten quality standards
  • Ensure final services adhere to all specifications and regulations
Required Skills and Experience
  • 5 or more years of experience performing quality control management functions in a Public Works, base operations contract environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use a computer; proficient with Microsoft Office productivity suite and other computer programs
  • Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times, stressful environment
  • Preferably have a Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM) certificate
  • Knowledge of industry standards – ISO 9001
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary
  • Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
Special Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must be able to successfully pass a federal, state, or local government’s background investigation
