Vice President of Operations – Commercial Electrical Construction

Gryphon Oakwood is working with an established electrical construction contractor seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and expand its business across Georgia.

This position will play a key role in shaping the operational direction of the business, with accountability for financial performance, project delivery, strategic growth, and leadership development. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening existing operations, driving profitability, and building the infrastructure required to support continued expansion.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially driven electrical construction executive with a strong operational background, proven financial leadership, and experience growing and managing high-performing teams.

• Direct and manage regional electrical construction operations, ensuring strong financial and operational results
• Take ownership of divisional P&L, including revenue performance, budgets, forecasting, and profit margins
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to operational leaders, Project Executives, and Project Management teams
• Establish and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and project profitability
• Maintain executive oversight of active project portfolios, ensuring successful delivery against financial, scheduling, and quality objectives
• Identify opportunities for business expansion, new market development, and increased market share
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, general contractors, and industry partners
• Develop organizational structures, recruitment strategies, and leadership succession plans to support future growth
• Promote accountability, operational consistency, and a safety-first culture throughout the business

• 15+ years of experience within electrical construction, including significant senior leadership or executive-level responsibility
• Demonstrated success managing regional operations, divisions, or large-scale electrical construction portfolios
• Extensive experience overseeing P&L performance, financial planning, cost management, and revenue growth
• Proven ability to build, manage, and develop senior operational and project management teams
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical construction operations, project execution, and commercial management
• Strong commercial acumen with a history of improving business performance and driving profitable expansion
• Experience delivering projects across Commercial, Industrial, and/or Mission Critical markets preferred
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and relationship management capabilities
