As a key member of the manufacturing organization, you will partner with Operations, Quality Food Safety and Environmental Health & Safety personnel. You will be a passionate team player who loves solving problems and is eager to help shape a strong future for our company and your career.
Employment DetailsPay scale range: $43.17/hr - $46.58/hr
Responsibilities- Perform basic preventive maintenance and PLC work on all equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, controls and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments, repairs or programming.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
- Comply with all OSHA Safety and Food and Health Safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate technical subjects verbally and in writing to co‑workers and vendors.
- Lift up to 50 lb occasionally; sit, stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two to three years of experience in an industrial plant environment as an Electrical Technician.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and related software to record work orders and PMs.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge and PLC experience.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field or closely related discipline.
- General electrical experience with a related technical degree.
