Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

• Fabricate steel main members (beams and columns) as well as other projects (tube sockets, roof opening frames, etc.).
• Ensure proper placement and assembly of weld parts (piecework).
• Read Structural Steel drawings and uphold quality standards.
• MIG weld and work with metal core wire.

• Proficient with cutting torch to cope and detail components for proper fit-up.
• Knowledge of a variety of structural members (beams, channel, angle).
• Layout of holes, cutouts, notches, etc. to specified dimensions and within tolerances.
• Identify and gather components needed from BOM.
• Ability to plan work and keep projects on schedule.
• Must be able to pass a basic tack test and fillet weld test.

• Must be able to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour day.
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs. or turn over a beam or column.
• Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts and weld gun.
• Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings, and perform normal math calculations.
• Strong general mechanical skills.
• Must be able to pass drug and criminal background screenings.
