We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our healthcare team and support patient-centered care on the Med Surg/Ortho Trauma unit.
Job Summary And QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Whatyou will do in this role
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives).
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement actions including training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage practical aspects of staff labor per patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- RN – Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing
