OverviewPiedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This PRN position involves providing excellent patient care to surgical patients and working shifts as needed.
Responsibilities- Round on post‑op patients
- Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon
- Perform EVH and chest closure in the operating room
- Conduct thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care
- Provide care to LVAD patients
- 1–2 years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification
- State‑licensed nurse approved to practice as an NP in Georgia with National Certification
