The Georgia Cancer Center is focused on leading cancer research and care to benefit patients locally and globally. Our team uses multidisciplinary approaches, first-in-nation trials, and a commitment to advancing cancer care that informs practices worldwide.

Job Summary

Two positions available. This position serves as the primary research coordinator of NCI sponsored and selected industry clinical trials at GCC-CTO.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Accrual:
    Assess potential subjects for eligibility, obtain informed consent, ensure protocol-required eligibility procedures are scheduled and completed within protocol timelines, educate patients and families, oversee adverse events, and maintain data for enrolled and follow-up patients.
  • Primary Coordinator:
    Manage all aspects of NCI sponsored protocols and select industry studies (recruitment/retention, visits, data entry, specimen collection and shipping, CRFs, and audit-related activities). Support regulatory binders and documents for trials; provide SAE reporting per sponsor/hospital guidelines.
  • Recruitment:
    Assist with recruitment, training, and orientation of research nurses and staff; coordinate team activities; ensure database maintenance for participants and prospects; develop follow-up reports; maintain inventory of materials and equipment; assist with study start-up and workload balance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing and RN license in Georgia with a minimum of four years of clinical experience in a specialized area; OR
  • Associate's degree in nursing and RN license in Georgia with a minimum of seven years of clinical experience in a specialized area.

Preferred

  • Clinical oncology research experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience in performing blood draws and preparing specimens; familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities; flexible and well-organized.
Shift, Salary & Benefits
  • Shift: Days/Mon-Fri (exemption may require work outside normal hours)
  • Salary:
    Pay Band B14;
    Salary Minimum $75,300 – $96,000 annually; final salary based on qualifications
  • Recruitment Period: 4/22/25 – Until Filled
  • Benefits:

    Tuition Assistance Program for eligible full-time employees after 6 months
