Job Summary and Qualifications
The Float Pool RN collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and coordinate care, focusing on Med Surg and ICU departments. You will be responsible for patient outcomes and departmental goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Accountability for assigned patients.
- Managing critically ill patients, vent management, responding to Code Blue, and initiating protocols.
- Managing patient flow, preparing exams, providing nursing care, and testing admissions.
- Instructing patients and families on medications and treatments.
- Maintaining and reviewing patient records, administering medications, checking supplies, and responding to calls.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing program (Associate's Degree or higher).
- Licensed RN in practicing state or hold an active Multi-State license.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
- At least 2 years of full-time Acute Care RN experience in the designated area. Less experience requires CNO approval.
