Immediate need for a talented Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) - Medical ICU (MICU). This is a Fulltime opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Augusta, Georgia (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Support:
Work in conjunction with and support the Nurse Manager. Act as a designee and resource, providing leadership in the manager's absence. - Engage staff in shared governance and partner to promote patient-centered care and service excellence.
- Staff Development & Operations:
Mentor staff and support charge nurses to ensure the effective running of the care delivery system. - Assist with performance reviews, coaching, and counseling. Play a pivotal role in staff recruitment, retention, and competency.
- Fiscal & Clinical Management:
Assist with budget development and support monitoring fiscal outcomes. - Employ quality skills to improve clinical systems and reduce waste. Hold staff accountable for clinical outcomes and performance standards.
- Quality & Evidence-Based Practice:
Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. - Support projects to ensure service meets licensure, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Use data to support clinical and operational decisions.
- Must have skills: Registered Nurse (RN), RN Leadership, Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Supervisor, ICU, Critical Care, BLS
- Licensure:
Active RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact). - Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire. National certification in nursing administration (upon hire) is preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse is required. - Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master's in Nursing (MSN) preferred. - Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated aptitude for coaching, mentoring, and progressive nursing management. Seeks to understand healthcare financing, strategy, and operations. - Skilled in change management and employing data/technology to support decisions.
